Certified Membership

To become a Certified Member by direct admission, the candidate must:

Translators

• have successfully completed CTTIC's certification examination; or
• be a TR2 at the Secretariat of State and submit proof of 2 years of experience as a translator, and
• apply for membership and pay dues set by the Association.

Interpreters

• have successfully completed a certification examination in interpretation set by CTTIC (the source or target language of the examination shall be French or English and any examination fees shall be paid by the candidate); or
• be accredited by the Secretary of State and submit proof of at least five hundred days of experience as an interpreter, and
• apply for membership and pay dues set by the Association.

To become a Certified Member by affiliation, the candidate must:

• be a Certified Member, in good standing, of a provincial association member of CTTIC or of the International Association of Conference Interpreters (IACI), and
• apply for membership and pay dues set by the Association.
